Job description

AXG Contracting is seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our team in the natural gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining project schedules for natural gas facilities, including pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using project management software
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure project success and timely completion
  • Monitor and report on project progress against the schedule, and recommend corrective actions as needed
  • Analyze project data to identify risks and opportunities, and make recommendations for schedule optimization
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and codes, including environmental and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, including senior management and clients
  • Assist project managers in developing project budgets and resource plans
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and identify potential schedule issues
  • Implement and maintain project scheduling standards and procedures
  • Provide training and support to project teams on scheduling best practices and tools
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in the natural gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and building codes related to natural gas facilities, including pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities
  • Expertise in project management software, such as Primavera or MS Project
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers, and construction teams
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends to optimize project schedules
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Professional certifications, such as PSP or PMI-SP, preferred
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
