AXG Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Piping Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piping design and engineering for industrial facilities, with experience in vendor selection, overseeing walkdowns, and design approval. Responsibilities:
Lead the design and engineering of piping systems for our industrial projects
Collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure piping systems meet project requirements and specifications
Participate in vendor selection process and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials
Oversee piping system walkdowns to ensure accuracy and completeness
Review and approve piping system design documents and drawings
Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the project team as needed
Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and building codes
Develop piping system specifications and standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in piping design and engineering for industrial facilities
Strong knowledge of industry standards and building codes related to piping systems
Experience with vendor selection and coordination
Demonstrated ability to oversee walkdowns and design approval
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and piping design software
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
